'Oh I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside!' is a twenty minute long wearable art, puppetry and drag show set on a 1920's British beach. The show was devised, directed, designed, made and performed by myself and Robin O'Connor Lowe. The show featured many original characters such as 'Madame Whippy', 'Lady Gannet', 'Lady Loon' and many more. For the performance I made two swimming caps, two headpieces inspired by the markings of seabirds combined with art deco motifs, a large fish and a large seagull head mask.

Performance at Porters bar

After our performance in the S4C studio in the December of 2024, Robin & I later went on in the March of 2025 to perform our show again at 'Porters' a small bar in Cardiff. We were lucky enough to perform in their newly opened theater space, and had a wonderful evening. Unlike the show we performed in the S4C studio, this performance was open to the public, with the capacity for an audience of 60, of which we sold 60 tickets! We also performed alongside Beanpig puppets, Chaos corner puppets, Nico Venables & Apple Ding
